People Engagement

We design our engagement efforts with you so that they fully meet the unique needs of your organization. While there is no standard blue-print to creating and leading a patient focused culture, there are common lessons, practices and proven approaches that we draw upon that are tailored to fit your organization.

Through the assessment process we build trust with you and your team – trust that we do this work because we want to help and we know how as we’ve done it successfully before. Common components of an engagement may include:

  • Prioritization around the patient – we begin with what everyone can agree on: we are here to serve the patient 
  • Building momentum – “Do we want to be average, or do we want to be a great organization?”
  • Engaging key stakeholders
  • Establishing ground rules – rules and social norms may vary from “no finger-pointing” to “data transparency”
  • Creating necessary structures – for example: creating project oversight – a system-level leader holds weekly meetings with each team, coordinates data collection, and shares successes
  • Providing experienced resources – cross-discipline teams benefit from training/coaching in change management and quality improvement approaches
  • Designing and hardwiring clarity and accountability that rewards successes
  • Providing education and support – developing a comprehensive training program for physician leaders
  • Embracing collaborative technologies, relationships and leadership agreements

Advisory Services

If you are not currently in a position to take advantage of our comprehensive services we can still help. We are available on an advisory and coaching basis to address your issues in a more ad hoc fashion. Advisory Services may include:

  • Examination and resuscitation (if necessary) of your Vision, Mission and Values
  • Reviewing established processes for hiring, selection and on-boarding (interviewing, orientation, etc.)
  • Creating or strengthening standards for behavior and service excellence
  • Orientation and training of key tactics (behaviors) that all high performing healthcare leaders and organizations engage in
  • Coaching managers – to create high performing teams and engaged staff through individual improvement
  • Coaching physician leaders 
  • Physician Leader Development – a leadership training workshop and coaching engagement for the managerial and people side of physician leadership
